Could be. But given the many hours that I spent formating, reformating,
testing, running various flavours of disk utilities on it, etc., and the
cost of disk media these days, it's cheaper just to beat it with a
hammer & discard (pun intended). And it had nothing of importance on it
to begin with so it's not worth any further effort. But thanks for the
suggestion.
I'm from the days of when core memory ruled, and 10M Winchesters & 330M
Ampex washing machines were amazing technology, so I can be a bit
stubborn at times when it comes to tossing 20G. After awhile trying to
breath life back into a damaged drive is no longer hobby time. The other
drives in the pile are along the lines of a Fujitsu 540Mb so it's time
to have a hammer party anyway.
