Compiz Question

About the window switcher (alt-tab): is it possible to use compiz but
still have the old window switcher?

Why I want it: The old switcher lets me see a lot of windows so I can
quickly see what I want to find. For example, step forward by three.
Or, I can step backward with the shift key. (And, obviously, if I step
too far I can go back one with the old switcher.) The key to the old
window switcher is it shows me a very terse summary of all my windows.
The new window switcher shows me too complete a copy. If I want the
real thing I can switch to the real thing.

I routinely have 20 windows open. Really. The old switcher helps me
handle that (icons and name-by-name). Plus, I use the Window Selector
menu (mini icons and complete list of names). And no, I don't have a
bar at the bottom of my screen; what a waste of space, and it is only
good for a few windows.

Can I have compiz and the old window switcher?

Thanks,

-kb
