External Hard Drives and UBUNTU

You might have wanted to narrow your search just a tad.....

But back to the question at hand...

I've not used a WD external (or internal for that matter), but I've had
no trouble with the following:

USB 2.0:	 Maxtor OneTouch III (750 GB and 500 GB).
		 LaCie d2 w/Triple Interface (250 GB Seagate Drive)
		 LaCie d2 w/Triple Interface (250 GB Hitachi Drive)

IEEE 1394a (Firewire) See USB 2.0
IEEE 1394b (Firewire 800) See USB 2.0

I'm impressed.  Another *cough*Mandriva*20078*cough* distro doesn't do
1394b (at least not for me anyway).

In other words, I'd say chances are very good that it will work fine. :)
