Cloned Ubuntu Unresponsive.

I cloned an Ubuntu Feisty installation to 8 PC's in our school. My installer is
a Live CD.

The cloned PC boots without problems, it load the GDM, but does not
load Gnome at all. It just continously seek the hard disk during the
splash screen.

I left it for 5 hours straight, but it still seeks the hard drive. All
of the cloned PC are like this.

I suspect this is a dbus/gnome/gdm problem, because when I login as
single-user and run `startx`, I can load the entire desktop very fast.

This problem is really new to me, does anyone know the solutions?
