I'm afraid I'm out of ideas. The configuration looks sane. Perhaps
there's some kernel module that prevents the suspend/hibernation?
When you try to hibernate using the GUI tools and get that uninformative
failure message, could you run 'dmesg' in a terminal and look for more
informative error messages there?
