gusty upgrade problem

Hi gang,

I'm upgrading from Feisty 7.10 and am trying to upgrade with the network
method using the update manager.  (I'm using an AMD 64 acer.)  The
servers have timed out the the first couple times I tried, but the past
two tries I've consistently had the following error:

Failed to fetch
http://ca.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/feisty/universe/binary-amd64/Packages.gz Sub-process gzip returned an error code (1)

Is this a busy server problem or something else.
