If your CPU is getting up into the 65C+ mark I would be (very) concerned. I
can't give you precise information on your particular machine/CPU
combination as you don't mention what processor and speed it is.

What CPU temperature are you getting and are you QUITE sure the CPU fan
isn't working? Are you not confusing the CPU fan with case exhaust fan
(which will probably be very quite most of the time)

Many moons ago, I'd be referring you to install the lmsensors package, but
it may well have been superseded these days (and I'm at work so no
repository to refer to to check).

For reference, my 2Ghz Athlon 64 in a desktop maxes out at around 58C.
