I need to learn how to setup procmail to organize my emails, and seperate mailing lists emails. I would like to have evolution email client and mutt read the same emails, not both download their own copies. Also, evolution email can not download mail from yahoo. I have fetchyahoo for that, and it is working good with mutt. How can I setup evolution email to use the emails downloaded with fetchyahoo and fetchmail?
I download mine with kmail (but you will get the same with fetchmail and fetchyahoo).
I then read those with either kmail or mutt.
to use mutt, I just point it to those Maildirs with:
#mutt -f .kmail/mail/inbox
maybe you could just download your emails, and have evolution access them (not sure how that works, 'cause I dont use it, but if it supports localdirs, them point it to the fetchmail dirs).
then use mutt with the "-f" command to access the "shared" folders of evolution.
WORD OF ATTENTION: when using mbox, be sure to set the same locking system (read man mbox).
