Projector problem with Dell Vostro 1000

Hello

I came across this forum while searching for a solution for my
laptop problem. I recently bought a Dell laptop: Vostro 1000 AMD 64
x2, with a ATI Radeon Xpress 1100 card. I have a dual os: Winxp pro
64 and Kubuntu 7.4 (32 bit). Recently at a presentation, I tried to
connect an LCD projector (Data Projector) (one of the new models) to my laptop.
It worked fine with the Windows os, but in linux, my laptop screen just
went blank, and nothing showed no the projector screen either.

Naturally, I tried the <Fn> <F8> keys but it didn't
work.
I found useful information on this forum, but it didn't seem
specific to my laptop. I'm not a tech person, and know virtually
nothing about linux, except how to use it like a typical windows
user :-).
I'm attaching the xorg.conf file to this email. I hope you'll help
me out with this.
By the way, I signed up on the forum, but couldn't find out how to
post a reply to the thread; which is why I'm sending mail. Hope you'll forgive my ignorance.

Thanks and regards
Rajan Nair
