I don't know what's happening on your system, but I don't have the same 
problems as you.  Yeah, after opening it, the HD is trashing a bit, but 
the soft is WAY faster than 7.09 on my PIII 750 / 512megs RAM old 
laptop... I can even open menus right after the GUI is there...

BTW, I Agree with you about the appearance of the GUI... but they 
standardized their versions... Both the Doze and Linux versions look the 
same now...
