Ubuntu 7.04 with Windows Server 2003

I Does any one know how ubuntu 7.04 clint version can be joined in Windiws Server 2003, so that the user authentication from Windows Actice Directory can work on Ubuntu.... like the users in windows active directory can access their accounts from ubuntu machines. Some one told me to modify samba, but it also didnt work..or ant third party tool can work!!!!
   
  any suggestions, i need it urgently
