IBM T60p suspend to ram woes

Some time ago my IBM t60p running Ubuntu Feisty stopped being able to
suspend. I am at a loss as to what the problem could be. I have
enclosed the output from running

  /etc/acpi/sleep.sh force

with set -x. I've also enclosed that script. Can anyone help?

Thanks very much in advance,
Dave
