Something new: a project

Most of you haven't dealt with 1wire yet (check the Ubuntu Wiki)
but I'm using one. It's the HVAC and security controller for the
trailer I'm building. (And am in now.) It's a cool little thing; I can
ssh over there and write a value to a file and all the sudden the vent
fan comes on at 74 degrees, instead of 78.

Well there are several controls like this; ultimately easy for
zenity from the bash shell...but that makes a bunch of controls in
seperate windows, not a 'dashboard' kinda thing.

Is there anyone here that has written in GTK for such a simple
little application? I've tried C programming, and was actually able to
write embedded code, but that was 1989! Surely there's some program to
do some hand-holding by now, isn't there?

     Thanks
