  You'll need a local mail delivery mechanism... Just your luck, Ubuntu is 
  about the only Linux distro that doesn't include any by default.
  
  I would suggest installing Postfix package.
  
  Mutt can also then use this instead of nbsmtp, but since that one is 
  already configured to forward mail to your ISP mail server, it's 
  probably best not to rock that boat.
  
I am so glad they Ubuntu does not include sendmail/postfix as a default. It's always a pain to getting deleted MTA/MTU's.
