Can't print (version 7.10 - Gutsy Gibbon) to a printer connected locally

I located Lexmark-Z35-lxz35cj-cups.ppd on my system and copied it to
/etc/cups/ppd. I deleted all old printers and set up a new one -
unfortunately no luck.
Here are the exact steps I tried:
System->Administration->Printing
Clicked New Printer
Selected Lexmark 7300 Series USB #1
Clicked the Forward button
Checked Provide PPD File
Selected the file /etc/cups/ppd/Lexmark-Z35-lxz35cj-cups.ppd
Clicked Forward button
Clicked Apply button
Clicked the printer under Local Printers
Clicked Print Test Page
A Submitted - Test page submitted dialog comes up
Clicked the OK button
Nothing printed.
I checked the error log and there is a ton of output - none of which
looks like a failure. Let me know if I should copy and paste it in a
return email.
Thanks,
Scott
