I think I found the problem,
System/Login window/General/Default session had changed to Mythbuntu
session. Changing that back to Gnome got things loading up in a few
seconds rather than a few minutes.
Loging out for a different user to log in still takes a few seconds
longer than I'd like. Is there any way to speed that up?
