Cannot access new NAS

Thanks for your interesting pointer !

You  are correct:
192.168.xxx.yyy is our private LAN numbering !!

Originally the NAS had 169.254.0.1 ...
... and I set it to match with the private LAN and 
act as a sharing data storage, like a file server !!!
Eliminating/reducing HW and replacing a "server" system !?

Do I expect something impossible ???

Advices and suggestions to a good solution are very appreciated.
