Can you please clarify your question? You are getting a new outlet for your internet connection, and would like to know what exactly?

As I understand it the ADSL is a digital subscriber line is hosted through a telephone line, and your provider should take care of everything up to and including your ADSL modem. If you are attaching a router or other networking device that company (Netgear, Linksys, D-Link) would be able to further assist you.

So far as your computer goes (including the Operating System) should be unaffected by this move/change aside from a possibility of getting a new IP address via DHCP.
