mplayer works gmplayer does not.

Is gmplayer (mplayer-gui) working in Gutsy?  gmplayer foo.vob works
but gmplayer foo.vob displays the video distorted (as if the window
size doesn't match the video size.

Also, where are the commands set for the right-click menus (i.e. Open
With).  That is, how can I change from running gmplayer to just
mplayer when I select Open With Mplayer?
