Hey Mark,
have about 120 GB or free space,
so, it should not be a problem...
Did in-fact use another program call sbackup which works fine,
both ways.. as for the command line, in this gui world,
its just would be a "nice thing" to right click on a file or folder,
and be able to compress it (within) the selection. instead of opening a term window,
and doing a cli thing.
it is said "Ubuntu it just works" well something needs fixing.
Again, thanks all, I do understand about the command line ..etc
But you must realize that I do allot of archiving... about 20 - 40 folders or files,
a day, and there located in many areas.
if its was just one of two, fine the command line would work,
but for product, archiving using the contextual menu would be the way to go.
Regards -
Richard
