Andy,

Homa's gui interface just pass some package names to `Synaptic' and synaptic
will handle all package installations. You'll see warnings or License
acceptance from synaptic... If a package is installed and homa's repository
have an upgraded version it will be upgraded but if they are the same
nothing will be done.

PS: you can ignore Homa's GUI interface and just install packages from CD
through apt-get, Synaptic, Adept. It's a repository of most wanted packages
on CD
