Need Exchange Server to support a real e-mail client.

Evolution supports exchange natively with OWA (and imap afaik)
Thunderbird supports imap and (maybe) Exchange Server)
Depending on who the email server admin is, if they set up imap, ok.
If not, OWA will surely be there...

We're scheduled to make a similar backward step from a linux mail server
that has functioned flawlessly for half a decade, with negligible
maintenance.
My mail reader of choice is mutt. Currently, fetchmail polls the
pophost, and procmail does a slab of filtering.
Does that M$ thingy easily provide POP or IMAP?
(My preference is not to change anything at my end. ;-)
