Init-premount scripts

Good day to everyone.

After days and weeks of searching the net I've got my Toshiba Portege
S100 S1133 up and running with Ubuntu Studio 7.04. I'm in the process of
putting together a how to in case anyone else is out there stuck. I do
have one question, since I had to init-premount script against the
current kernel and then run update-initramfs, will I have to do the same
thing again if they update the kernel.
