installatin of Ubuntu on CF card

Hi all,
   I have been trying to install Ubuntu server on the Cf card ( as IDE).  I was able to install Ubuntu successfully.  
  But when I try to boot the system, the system is rebooting before I see the login prompt.  I am using mini-ITX motherboard.
  As anyone tried install on CF card or know how to do the same please let me know.
