The audio device is on the motherboard and is an ATI Technologies. . .
There is reference to someone having audio problems with this device
when changing from 6.10 to 7.04. I had no problem then, my problem
starts from when I changed the kernel from 2.6.20 to 2.6.17. I tried the
procedure given but that did not work for me.
