Mouse drift on Dell Latitude c840 running Feisty 7.04

Well, I wouldn't have thought to replace the keyboard to fix the mouse
problem, but it seems to have done the trick. I bought a replacement
keyboard from Dell for $35 (it was a refurb), and it was here in 2 days.
It took me about 20 minutes to replace it , although someone who is not
completely brain-dead could do it in 5 minutes.
Anyway, thanks for the suggestion. My laptop is finally usable!
