Thank you all for your answers.

I am not sure if I understood correctly - can I edit the file under
/dev/.udev/db and just remove whatever is after the equal sign in: "Label="?

I tried adding the UUID I found there and it broke my system, caused it to
enter a Recovery Console and claimed the UUID does not exist...

How do I get rid of the "/home" icon on the desktop?

Is there an easy to use GUI for this?

I also found e2label - it says it's for renaming - what if I just want no
label at all?

Thanks!

Amichai.
