Horrid fonts in Feisty

Those thick vertical lines are completely broken.  If that's "normal", then 
either the font itself is corrupted, or the renderer is wonky and no one's 
bothered to fix it for non-antialiased settings.

I do have it installed, but I'm kind of uncomfortable with the idea that 
only one or two fonts out of the many that came with it actually look 
presentable.  I don't have a bunch of weird third-party "12,000 on a CD" 
fonts installed, and if Ubuntu ships with them, they should look minimally 
usable.

I don't want to sound like I'm slagging on Ubuntu.  In general, I love it.  
I'm just dismayed at how bad this one particular aspect is on my system and 
really want to get it straightened out.
