Hello,
I´ve been reading a lot about this next issue but haven´t been able to
found a solution:
I have some xvid/divx files with the corresponding .srt or .sub files
but I´m unable to get the movie to work with subtitles on my dvd
player using K3B as a recording software (it only plays the movie and
doesn´t recognize the sub as a valid file), if I use NeroLINUX, the
movie and subtitles work OK.
I´m using Ubuntu 6.10, K3b is at version 0.12.17 I´ve discarded issues
with DOS/Unix file endings (I have erased my DVD-RW more times than I
can remember testing :)
It´s worth mentioning that the DVD that K3B generates is usable on
either Ubuntu or Windows XP, the movies play just fine with their
corresponding subtitles, the issue is only when played on an external
DVD Player, NeroLINUX seems to get it right and K3B doesn´t.
I also have problems with the VERIFY option on K3B, for example I was
generating a DVD Video project the other day and K3B burned it all
right but I was never given the option to click on a VERIFY so I went
back and generate the project again only to found that the option is
missing or at least I think that´s missing because I didn´t see it :)
I´ve also had problems with the Verify option on regular Data
project´s but I think I´ve read on this mailing list that there´s a
bug on K3B about it something about UPPER case and lower case thing(
what happens to me is that it burns the data all right but when it´s
suppose to start verifying it gives a message about not being able to
find the file to verify)...let´s hope the next version of Ubuntu comes
soon and with out this issues.
Well, if anyone has encounter something similar and can help me, great :)
Regards!
