I'm running feisty from an installation on the hard-drive, updated
daily as updates become available.  I have a similar situation with
compiz .. the cube won't rotate, although both the cube and rotate
plugins are present and enabled.  I thought it might be something
about my hardware (fglrx on ATI X1400 using xserver-xgl) that was
causing the problem, but now I see your similar experience.

What is your video card and which driver are you using?
