It didn't even work in Feisty, for me. I filed a bug report about it,
though, so maybe it'll work by release. SATA/networking/video/etc.
worked fine. I understand some of those weren't working well in
earlier kernels.

The problem with that option is that SATA CD/DVD drives are pricey, at
least in the U.K. I couldn't find one for much under £200 ($390 or
so). That would be nearly half the cost of the whole computer, for
most people.
