Subject: Unable to partition
I tried to Install Ubuntu LTS on HP Compaq dx2280. First I booted from
Live CD, booted fine, but hanged when tried to install.
I also tired Kbubtu alternate and Xubuntu in text mode. Both failed to
do partition when selected use free space. Even on trying to do it
manually, it failed to do any thing, partition remain same.
This desktop is having pre-installed MS XP professional.
Can someone suggest me what to do to make it dual boot?

===================
Hi,
I had the same problem. I deleted the partitions using the LiveCD and
once all the partitions were deleted (and changes applied), I proceded
to install.
I was using a GB Triton MF+ AMD64 + IDE SG 200GB "Barracuda"
