You also need to back up your evolution gconf keys. (I forgot to, and so
transferring didn't work for me. If I was you, I would also export your
contacts list as a vcf file, and your calendar as an ics file, so that
you don't lose your contacts and calendar if the transfer fails (Guess
who forgot to!)
