Simple programming language anyone?

Can I just add that with Ruby and Python experience, you may just be spoiled 
for any "real" languages.  Interactive Python and irb are addictive.  Oh, and 
so is writing code that works the first time.  Neither of which I found in C 
during my tenure with that language.  I have to admit, though that there is 
nothing like C.
There is now a tool called "Ch", which actually provides a bit of 
interactivity with the C programming language!  Granted, anything really 
powerful you have to write into a Ch script (like in and out instructions, or 
any "included" library calls), but it's a step in the right direction.
