Compiz in Kubuntu (Beryl)

Hello,
Should questions about Kubuntu not be asked in this mailing list?

Has anybody else notices that compiz in KDE (kubuntu) is slower in
responce then in Gnome (Ubuntu)?

Why is this?  I loaded what I read, according to the documentation,
which is "gnome-compiz-manager","compiz-kde" and the other
dependencies...is there a better way of running compiz for Kubuntu?

What is the difference between Beryl and Compiz???
