Which kernel to use for lots of ram?

Hello Mario,
After reading continuosly some guides, finally I found the formula from 
Edubuntu guide:
Ram needed = 256 + ( 60 * Client ) MB, so for 100 clients it would be 8 GB 
(rounding up). It's just for the LTSP environment. I guess it will need more 
for the applications.
