CUPS and IBM Proprinter 2 not getting along

Hi all

Im trying to setup my proprinter 2 (i dont think my canon ip1500 is 
compatible) and, according to ubuntu, CUPS is the only thing that it 
will work with.

So i set it up with CUPS and print a test page, and it prints garbage. 
So i tried RAW printer, still prints garbage (but atleast it in english 
:P ). I tried the different ones listed other then cups, but they didnt 
seem to work either

should i submit this as a bugreport or is there a way around this?
