Thank you Miles, basically there is a difference between PROGRESSIVE
DOWNLOADS and TRUE STREAMING.  I actually do flash actionscript programming
for a living (wish it was open source role though, maybe sometime soon),
where I create E-Learning Applications. It also involves video too, we use
progressive downloads, as a steaming solution from macromedia would be very
expensive. Can I also point out Real Player with the Real Media Server would
also provide the functionality you are looking for.

What about .Ogg an nice open format, I believe it can now be streamed in the
manor that you prefer(not 100% sure though), that would be my preferred
approach and would be nice to see a university set its own streaming
solution up too, instead of buying into solutions. Be an interesting project
and would save lots of money.
