VLC media player problem

hi all,

im trying to play a DVD on VLC. My video settings and audio settings and 
so on are ok, so i click the play button and (since i loaded it in the 
console), i looked at the console to see why my dvd would simply refuse 
to play, and it said:

libdvdnav: Suspected RCE Region Protection!!!
libdvdnav: Suspected RCE Region Protection!!!

so im tearing the program apart trying to find where the dvd region 
stuff is, and i cant find it no where.

(lol) how do i play a dvd with this program?
