installing without internet connection

You have to install the dependencies first. For instance, download and
install debhelper
(http://packages.ubuntu.com/cgi-bin/download.pl?arch=all&file=pool%2Fmain%2Fd%2Fdebhelper%2Fdebhelper_5.0.42ubuntu1_all.deb&md5sum=2a46ac09e755eca23998dcb2f886a630&arch=all&type=main
for Feisty) before installing alien.
