KRFB Settings Advise

Although I use Gnome (ubuntu-desktop) I've discovered the wonderful krfb
and krfc remote sessions software... what an excellent change over
gnome-rdp! I wonder if any of you are 'power' users of krfb & krfc and
can perhaps advise on the best/most secure settings.

Here is my situation:

For my windows customers I use UltraVNC and that allows me to get into
the user's computer for troubleshooting, configuration, etc. UltraVNC
allows me to create an icon or menu item for the server and keep the
server off until I talk to the customer and ask them to turn on the
service. When on, UltraVNC server will create an icon in the taskbar
(green eyeball) so that the customer knows that the server is running.
When they turn off the VNC server, the icon disappears and they know
that the service is no longer running. I'd like to be able to do
something similar for krfb.

Basically I'd like an icon on the desktop that will do that same as
UltraVNC Server:

1. Keep the krfb service (and any other rdp services) *off* unless the
icon is clicked and the user authorizes the service to be turned on.

2. When the service is running, keep an icon in the taskbar/panel to
show that the service is operational, and when turned off (again via the
icon) have the icon go away.

Is this possible?
