I just booted into ubuntu to discover I hadn't installed jpilot (my main
system is debian). I installed the package using synaptic, tried
synching using the GUI - bind error; tried again pressing the sync
button on my Treo first and then using the GUI - it worked straight away :)

I didn't change any settings at all.

If you're still struggling suggest:

$ sudo aptitude purge jpilot

You may want to move/rename the .jpilot directory in your home folder as
a precaution but I don't think it's neccessary.

The reinstall jpilot; press the hotsync button on your device and then
click on the sync icon in jpilot.

Regards

Clive
