Upgrade to Edgy almost worked

Have done a upgrade to Edgy which failed near the end of downloading
and updating packages stage. I managed to 'get apt-get install' to
complete OK and the system boots and works fairly well.
There are a couple of oddities so I was wondering if it is possible to
run the 'clean up' and any other later stages of the install manually
(i.e. are there a set of scripts that I can run that correspond to the
later stages.
I was using cdromupgrade off the Alternative CD.
Regards,
Ben
