Viewing Flash videos after installing flashplugin-nonfree v. 9

Hello,

I was having problems viewing some Flash videos (e.g. those hosted on
MySpace), so I installed flashplugin-nonfree 9.0.21.78.2ubuntu1 through
Synaptic. After installing it and restarting Firefox I can view the movies
in question, but after restarting Firefox again, I can no longer view them.
(The sound works fine.) One example of a video I'm referring to
ishttp://simplisticsmovielinks.blogspot.com/2006/12/van-wilder.html(that
is a sweet site, BTW).

Does anyone know how to fix this? I know I can also download the beta
directly from Adobe (as per https://wiki.ubuntu.com/FlashPlayer9), but am
wondering if it's possible to do it through Synaptic, so that I continue
getting updates. (From my limited knowledge, I understand that packages not
installed through the package manager have to be updated and re/de/installed
manually, which can become a chore.)

By the way, before installing flashplugin-nonfree, I uninstalled another
Flash browser plugin, although I mysteriously can't find it through Synaptic
now, so I'm not sure what the name is.

Thanks!
