Now, there are some cases. I have an old (older?) Portege 2010. Debian 
Etch and Ubuntu Edgy both failed to bring up my wireless, although both 
supposed to be able! Now, OpenSUSE didnĀ“t install. There was only 
Mandriva, that got installed and recognised my Wireless.

My Workstations @home (etch) and @office (edgy) will never see an rpm 
based distro again, that is sure.
