Problem installing Ubuntu 6.10

 6.10 is available in CD that you download and burn. That's the normal
way most people get it. Amazon only sells the DVD, as far as I know.
Just download from here:

http://www.ubuntu.com/products/GetUbuntu/download#currentrelease

and burn a CD using your CD-RW and you're off...
