Yes your Dos applications will run quite nicely under Linux.

apt-get install dosbox

works great for me.  And if you have an old dos directly with the
standard utilities you can even feel like you are running dos itself.
For somewhat more flexibility and the ability to use your Linux system
tree from within Dos, try

apt-get install dosemu

Although I have had some problems getting an old Dos game to run under
Dosemu, but it runs fine under Dosbox.

Dosbox can be found in Universe and Dosemu can be found in Multiverse.
