Hi,
Had a similar problem recently using Breezy (5.10)
Searched the Ubuntu forum and came across the following tip.
Close Nautilus.
In terminal type the following command -
killall gam_server
Reopen Nautilus.
In the last few days since I used this command, Nautilus has not been a
problem.
I do not know much about the gam server - what it does or how it works
with Nautilus.
The forum did mention that it was an improvement on fam (file access
management) and that gam in Dapper (6.06) was complete and fixed.
