Are you sure w32codecs is in the repros?

(if you are using Feisty its probably simpler, but Feisty is still
under development).

You may also wish to complain about them using non-free formats.

You do. Non-free stuff goes in Multiverse, note by non-free I am
referring to freedoms, you still don't have to hand over any cash.
