6.10 Ubuntu has kernel support built in. At least it works with my Zoom USB
external which has the same chip on my PPC platform. You may need to use a
'alternate Ubuntu installation disk' instead of using the live version for
the install as I find you can be more selective about the hardware you are
using during the installation process.
